About Kim

At home among the animals she draws.

Kim Harris is a graphite artist who draws commissioned portraits of all pets. She studied fine art at the University of Oregon and at Cornish Art School, and has lived in Washington all her life.

Kim is married with two daughters, and lives on 22 acres of farmland with three horses and Fergus, her Airedale Terrier.

How a portrait comes together.

Every commission starts with a conversation and a few favorite photographs.

    Message Kim on Facebook or Instagram, or send an email. Tell her a little about your animal and the portrait you have in mind.

  2. Share your photos

    Send your favorite photographs. Clear, close pictures in good light give Kim the most to work from.

  3. Kim draws

    Kim draws the portrait by hand in graphite pencil, working to capture your animal’s likeness and spirit.

  4. Your portrait

    Kim lets you know when the drawing is finished and arranges getting it to you.
